Wanderwise - Mobile UI/UX Design

Wanderwise is a safety-centric navigation prototype designed to prioritize the security of solo hikers through a disciplined, high-utility user experience. By utilizing an architectural layout and a consistent floating card system, the interface creates a clear physical separation between map data and actionable safety tools, significantly reducing cognitive load in high-stress environments. The UX is centered on predictive safety, replacing social distractions with automated check-ins and high-contrast emergency states that function as an authoritative guide during crises. To ensure peak usability in the field, the design features a specialized color palette: Sandstone Cream reduces screen glare in direct sunlight, while Forest Green and Summit Orange provide high-contrast anchors for primary navigation and critical safety alerts. This strategic visual hierarchy ensures that even fatigued hikers can instantly recognize and execute essential actions through intuitive visual cues rather than dense text.
